Investors

Real estate investors benefit from objective advice when considering acquisitions, dispositions, or the repositioning of existing assets. Some ways our firm has assisted investors include:

Reviewing key underwriting assumptions so that the risk/reward tradeoff is properly defined.

Helping to formulate a market-driven strategy to reposition an existing property.

Identifying acquisition targets based on the client’s investment goals.

Analyzing market conditions to inform the decision of whether to hold or sell an asset.

Recent Examples of Our Work with Investor Clients

Sage Mountain, an Atlanta based investment advisory firm, hired us to evaluate a large proposed development in Gwinnett County, Georgia that they were considering investing in. The development plan included industrial space, apartments, and retail. Our role was to evaluate the development plan and provide insight on local market conditions to help them with their decision-making process.

Mimms Enterprises owned two older shopping centers in Roswell, Georgia. Our firm was retained to formulate investment strategies for these assets in light of changes occurring in the retail industry. Redevelopment options were explored, as well as the potential to re-lease vacant spaces. In addition to the local retail market, we analyzed supply-demand conditions in the apartment, office, hotel, and senior housing sectors. City officials were also interviewed to understand their vision for the property and rezoning possibilities. Our work culminated with a detailed strategy to guide future investment decisions.
